BBI is a full service ISP. The company purchases internet directly from Norway via Satellite and beams it directly to its customers via radio link. The services offered include the following:

Data transmission
Through its very sophisticated Skywan Satellite system BBi offers data links, both Frame relay and TCP/IP, to all major cities in Botswana and elsewhere in Africa and Europe. The system is Linux based.
The company also offers data links within cities via its encrypted micro wave links using the Motorola canopy. The system is extremely efficient and operates in some of the most congested (airwaves) cities in the world.
Network Design, Management and Maintenance
The company’s subsidiary Gaborone Network Solutions has experts in the field of communications, particularly in the field of Wide Area and Local Area Networks. It’s highly skilled technicians are capable of designing and implementing networks from the simple in house VPN to the most sophisticated multi location, multi city, multi country operations. Our services are provided on a case by case basis and can include ongoing maintenance contracts.
Disaster Recovery
The company offers disaster recovery to its site at the Show grounds or to any site required by the client. This includes full back-up and data management.
Video Conferencing
The company’s communication systems can provide sufficient bandwidth to permit high quality, high resolution video conferencing.
Voice
The company is operating its telephone and voice services since August 2007 offering clients lower call rates to all international destinations and also sophisticated in-house voice connectivity configurations. The company will be relaying calls through Taide in Norway and more telecommunications suppliers will be connected to insure the lowest rates.
